    I am 3rd on the M6 wait list in Atlanta, out of 45 on the list. I signed up 2 years ago. They are going for 30k above MSRP right now. Two weeks ago a black one sold locally for 136k + tax.

    Mine is arriving in 3 weeks, and will be Interlagos blue on black w/ Carbon Fibre trim, SMG transmission + heads up display. I will get the title and pay the taxes, so the next owner won't have to.

    Anyone interested in trading your 5 yr old 360 for a brand new M6 with 100 more HP, 0 miles, and full warranty? :) If not, I will be taking out an ad in autoweek.


    note: I prefer one that is Rossa Corsa w/ 6-spd, capristo, shields, and challenge grill, 2 owners or less, and belt service complete.

    Interesting question and one wonders what's your motivation. I know what mine would be.

    I owned a concours example of the first M6 and an M5 (E34) as well. Loved them both as sporty sedans, incredible quality and reliability. And then I watched as BMW basterdized the later design of the 7 series, 5 series, and though I'd hesitate to say it, the rather bulbous 6 series as well. The M3 remains an attractive performer IMHO.

    I dumped the bimmers for a 98' 355 F1 spider, moved on to a 04' 360 F1 Coupe, and now have a 04 F1 CS. The knock out Pinnifarina design, matched with stellar performance has won me over. I can't see myself ever going back to the more mundate world of BMW. On the other hand, Ferrari still has much to learn from BMW in the area of reliability and quality, but fortunately has been closing the gap rapidly, beginning with the 360.

    Because I want a 360. :)

    And because the M6 will be worth > MSRP for a while, but not forever.

    On the video it looks like the M6 gradually starts to pull away on 4th gear. M6 is a little faster, but not by much.

    Assuming that there is a greater performance difference between the 996tt and the GT2, the F430 should be faster than the M6, since the F430 is about dead even with the GT2.

    If i had a 360 that would be my exact answer. The m6 is nice and fast, but it doesnt compare to a 360. Plus the m6 is butt fuggly, its all bangled up.

    no way. the BMW is a great car but a ferrari is a ferrari.

    Why don't you buy it, not title/pay taxes, sell it, and buy a 360? seems simple enough. But if speed is your thing then there are lots of cheaper and faster cars out there than a 360. But none with the style of a Ferrari

    or, just sell the spot for 30k to someone who wants a M6 now.
    then plus the 100k he already has for the M6.
    he got his 130k right there for the 360.

    M6's can be had for MSRP if you look around. I have been offered two and passed. I know in crazy markets you get some idiot who has to have the first one and will pay over but for the person who is not impulsive will find the car at list. If you can get 5 or 10 over I would take the money and run.
