I tried a few searches but not much luck. First time tracking this car and want to put a set of pads/rotors on it for the track days (2) in Monterey this August at the FCA event and then remove them replacing with my street setup. Not looking for anything extreme or big bucks. Any suggestions?
    thanks....

Ferrari of Seattle recommended staying with the stock street pads and rotors if using normal street tires. This was for my first track day. They said they used stock pads even on their Challenge cars. Had no issues and will run same setup for my next track day Fri. For me the bigger issue was tire monitoring (pressures and temp).

I agree with Jim if this is a 1st trackday. If you are experienced on track and can adapt to and listen to what a car is telling you that's a different story. If really a newbie, tires will be more of an issue especially if old or worn. A good place to start is with at least 3/4 left on the brake pads, well bled brake system, and if new tires are close to being needed look into the whole new crop of 200 tread wear rated street tires that are all the rage for light drive to the track track duty with street tire reliability. Make sure alignment is factory with factory rake not a car that has been slammed on 19"s to look better with what you think is tight handling.

Ok guys, thanks. I have multiple tract day experiences but not with this car. I was thinking of Raybestos st43e's but I'll look and see how much is left of the street pads...anyone know the original thickness of the stock pads? 11mm? Tires are Michelins ps3's now in good shape, I have a new set of rear Hankook's evo's I was thinking of throwing on after purchasing a matched set for the front and using those, to save my street set the wear.

Well you have to buy fronts and the evos are almost 300trw. If you got track skills you will be happier on a stickier tire. On pads you should also consider condition of rotors. If nice and flat you can run a new pad. If grooved up good you may be better off with what you got. If you know how to bed in brakes etc... you could wear in a new set on old grooves if you know what to expect and have the means to do it so the system is track ready. For a fun day stock should be fine. Car prep for passing and exceeding minimum tech requirements a more important issue.

    +1 on the Raybestos on a 360

not too hard on rotors, excellent bite and modulation, very consistent performance, will allow overheat of fluid if they get thin (25% or less), use them in the 360CH

Brakes are a weak point of the 360 on track. I would definitely run track pads and good fluid as a matter of safety, even if you're learning the car on street tires. When I had mine, I ran a raybestos pad that was an equivalent to a pagid yellow.

I just ran a full track day a Willow Spring Raceway in Rosamond. I ran the car really hard all day and had no issues with my brakes fading. I was doing about 8-10 lap runs before having to pit. I am running EBC yellow pad with the stock rotors. They seemed to work pretty well.
