The CD/radio player in my car won't play any sound out of any of the speakers sometimes, that's until I open and shut the passenger door..

Anyone know why this is, or point me in the right direction to finding the fault, I'am assuming a bad connection somewhere around the door.

    Thanks..

Its a censorship interlock device - your passenger has to approve of the choice of music - if they disapprove and leave the car only then can you play the music you want to hear !

It sounds like the speaker wires are shorted in the door speaker. Probably at the point where the wires go in the door. I know other radios do this, so maybe this is happening here.

Cheers Mark, will have a snoop round that area, I have been tidying up around the battery area a while back, and I have been kindly PM'd to have a look around this area as the lead runs near by the battery.

Had same problem on both sides, at different times. Removed speakers in doors and found wire had come off. Just had to re-solder the leads back onto the terminals. Easy, all good since.
