I changed my stock panel over the challenge panel yesterday evening. First, let me say it absolutley changes the appearence of the car. The car looks more aggressive, purposeful and up to date. I would says its akin to having the AMG bumpers put on a Mercedes.

Having said that, after installation, which is not difficult but time consuming, I ended up with a rear door latch that does not stike correctly. After considering the installation, I dont see how the rear latch would have been affected. Anyone have this same problem?

Thank you for the the feedback.

Yes, I had a problem after my installation and the car would not go into gear because it thought the deck lid was up. My mechanic made some custom spacers to make the alignment perfect. It was a pain, but everything worked out well in the end.

Appreciate the feedback Robert. At least I know I'm not crazy. I figured I would look at it with a fresh set of eyes this evening. Hoping there is an adjustment screw(s) somehwere.

    Regards,

I had the same problem when I installed mine. It was a long time ago, but I do recall having to make some slight adjustments. I don't remember what I adjusted, but I wanna say the rubber bumpers on the deck lid (if there are rubber bumpers on the deck lid :) I also recall their being a couple of washers which were required on the screws that go through the body. I believe they were needed to hold the grill out to the proper alignment with the body however, not so much regarding the latch catching.

I don't have the car any longer or I would go out and check to see. However, like I say, I did have to make some adjustment. I'm pretty sure it was in the latch on the lid. I do remember loosening the bolts that hold the latch to the car I think.

Anyway, it should be something pretty minor to fix.

I have an unboxed Challenge grill here (standard Modena/Spider) that I am tired of bumping into. It is new, never fitted to a car. I took it out for photography and then it never got back into inventory properly.

First $1000 today takes it -- free ground shipping included anywhere in the USA. It'll be nicely packaged and very safe -- just not in the original Ferrari box. Call me or Mike (336-499-2500) and ask for the special deal-i-o.

    Ray,

Thank you for the reply. I was able to fix it yesterday evening. Exactly as you remember. It was the bolts holding the latch onto the deck lid that needed to be adjusted.
