    I just noticed that the rear right break on my 2004 360 Modena is missing that small black plastic cap on top. Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is the function of that piece? Is missing it serious?

    Its just the bleed valve cap to keep crap outta there. Nothing to worry about and very easy to replace.

    It's just a dust cover for the brake bleader.

    that nipple is the bleed screw. the cap is a dust boot.
