Looks like the replacement for the 360 will be on public display at Detroit in January - and therefore UK RHD cars will hit at some point mid-year (maybe sooner?).

What do you think will happen to 360 residuals and is there any gauge from when the 360 replaced the 355?

    Whadyafink?

    My couple of thoughts

    1. What the pricing on the new cars will be. If other manufacturers eg Porsche, Aston Martin extra are followed then typically it seems that the new cars are priced at current levels and you get a whole lot more car for the same money thereby not helping residuals much.
    2. I think that many more 360's were manufactured than 355's. The gap between a very clean late 355 and an early 360 is no longer very big and this may give a clue.

    regards

Do you think the 360 Spyder prices will fall accordingly as well?

I've noticed that 355 coupes & spyders are now close in price, yet the difference between the two 360 types is quite significant.

I think 3 things will help keep 360 prices high for the next couple of years (at least here in the US). 1) the new model will be priced much higher, thanks primarily to the Euro rate; 2) the new model will not be stunningly better, so fewer 360 owners will feel compelled to sell and switch immediately, keeping the 360 resale supply down; and 3) the first year of the new model will sell out early to the best customers so it will be very hard to buy for the rest of us, keeping the demand up for the available 360s.

Just my theory. We'll all find out soon enough!

    My two penny's worth.........

During my MBA, I did a project on UK pricing of new RHD Ferrari's V8's. Historically, they have followed GDP most years. New models (and thus what you get for your money) make very little difference as they are aimed at the same market.

If memory serves me right, the only time this pattern changed was 328 going to 348. This was because at the time people had been buying the 328 and selling straight after for big premiums. Enzo had just died so the new owners thought they had ought to re-capture these premiums.

As such, that puts the 430 priced around £108k.
