I have a leaking shock absorber that will sooner or later need to be repaired/replaced.

Has anyone come across a company (ideally in the UK) that can rebuild 360 shock absorbers as I can't find anyone?

    Thanks

There are usually road racing oriented companies who do. As big as motorsport is in the UK there has to be. Ask people who race.

Search Madeno Racing on here. Several members have had them rebuilt there with good results. My plan is to send my shocks out to them this winter. They are in NL.

i had one blow out and just bought a good used one on ebay complete with the spring still attached. Took all of 15 minutes to swap out. I guess i look at used parts a bit differently from others. When you buy a used car, every single part is used also. If it can pay a few hundred $ to get a good used part that will last another 15 years, so be it.

There are full sets of Chinese shocks on ebay for around a grand. I've never used them, but I've heard good reviews.

I had heard that the 360 shocks cannot be rebuilt like the 430 ones?

Looked at a 360 shock on eBay, very similar to an F430 if not same.

They are both 'non-serviceable'. Most will tell you they can not be rebuilt, at least that was the answer I got from calling around.

This is because they are crimped shut, which effectively makes them single use

If you look at the thread I attached, Madeno redesigend the top with a screw on cap, effectively making them serviceable, I expect this could be done with 360 shocks as well.

That is really the only issue, once the top is off, it can be disassembled and reassembled, as long as you can seal it when done.

I'm no expert, just reporting my findings.

Hi, can you tell me where did you find reviews on the chinese ones? I am also facing the problem of having to buy new ones and the chinese ones are pretty cheap.

    Thanks!
