After washing the car today and taking it out for a spin I stopped to buy groceries. When I hit the remote button I heard the doors locking, but no beeps from the horn. Later on when I deactivated the alarm I again heard the doors open, but again no beeps. Car started and ran fine, but the red LED alarm light remained on the whole time instead of shutting off.

I performed the resynchronization as described in the owners manual but nothing changed. I also tried using the master (red) transmitter, but no change. I checked all doors, hood, top, engine cover, none is open.

A red light in the center of my radio is also flashing continuously now with the car parked in my garage and not armed (I know it will passively arm in 120 seconds).

Anything else I can do before running to the dealer?

If its in warranty take it in, if not get used to it or spend a little over $500.00
Its the batterys in the alarm siren, dead or shorted.

Do a search, lots of posts on this one.

BTW, mine's been out for two years now, no problems except no chirp, and dash light always on.

Thanks. I would have thought they would use rechargeable batteries. It's under warranty, so no big deal.

Back to working fine this morning. Maybe we got something wet that we sahould not have when we washed the car yesterday. My son really went to town-water in every intake on the car.
