    Quick question really,

How does the Spider fair up in all weather conditions? inc sleet, rain and snow (buying in UK)
I wonder about the seals and hood?

What kind of prep do you do to your hoods to keep them in good condition?

Also, any tips on what to look out for when shopping would be useful!

    Thanks

I had one for three years. No major problem with the hood in the rain or sleet. Items to look for:

    - the rubber flanges around the rear top corner of the window can get worn and/or deformed due to catching the wrong side of the window. If this happens the rain at motorway speeds travels up to that crner and then leaks in down the buttress behind the seat onto the rear shelf. Never a great amount and not on you so never spoilt drive.

    - the rubber at the meeting point of the roof and the windscreen's frame can get flared at the corners. Gives a small gap on the top of the leading edge of the windscreen which gives slightly more windnoise and at worst a few drops of leakage.

I bought the Halfords canvas roof kit but only used it once. It has two liquids - a stripper to remove old waterproofing and a waterproofer. Didn't note any difference in performance/appearance on the first use so left it alone.

As for shopping - one golden rule - make sure any females present have their own credit card.

    Hope that helps.
