By "lid" do you mean the soft top or the hard tonneau that covers the soft top?

Do you have to help "it" finish opening (soft top down), or closing (soft top up).

Without more understanding I will venture a guess that a micro/proximity switch needs adjusting.

i mean the hard lid tonneau , it opends but not all the way , it stop a inch to early , so the soft top , scratch the inside of the hard cover ,
I have to help the hard cover a inch so the softtop dont get stuck against the inside of the hard lid.

    ;-)

I'm not a mechanic but I believe all the movements of tonneaus, capote flaps, soft top and latches are controlled by actuators that stop or go based on proximity switches that tell when a certain point is reached and then the next function in the opening or closing process should begin. My guess is that your tonneau is stopping too soon because something is out of adjustment or there is interference. I have been told the unit is made by Mercedes Benz. If you don't have a Ferrari dealer nearby I'd talk with someone knowledgable at a MB dealer who knows convertible top mechanisms. Have you downloaded a parts diagram of the top assembly? It might give you an idea as to where to look for the problem.

check the fluid level for the capote mechanism first. Second the rams/actuators are know to leak and stick. If this is the case some have had them rebuilt. I purchased replacements.
