Hello---Greg here---I recently acquired a very nice 2003 360 Modena--36000 miles, pristine. Found this thread searching for 360 door issue solutions.

My door handles are functioning fine (knock on wood), but I'm experiencing another annoying problem--the driver door is clicking loudly when opening and closing--it seems to be happening at the leading edge, at the door stop metal tie rod that floats in and out of the door. Guessing the clicking is due to a worn bushing or 2--I see 2 on the parts diagram page.

I remember my earlier 308 and 328 cars BOTH exhibited this problem so it seems to be a Ferrari trait! :)

My question is--before I start tearing the door apart--is-do I need to remove the entire interior door panel to get to this door stop link, or can I simply remove the associated nuts on the leading edge of the door, to gain access to this assembly?

Hoping to gain some wisdom from those who have already been there--before I create more issues by tearing into the door- However--if it's necessary, I'm fine with that!

Also-is the only fix for this issue to order new door stop bushings, or is there another service technique using the existing assembly?

    Thanks in advance,
    Greg
