Can anybody tell me if the right side fuel pump is the same as the left side, minus the float? I can source plenty of left side pumps but seems the right side is more difficult. In various photos I’ve seen they look very much alike. Any experience with this would be appreciated greatly.

Aside from the obvious - (as in the sender unit/float) surely there is no other difference. I realise I'd have to make a change to the wiring, but I can't see it as being a big deal. Am I missing something?

    Candidly, I have no idea.

The prospect of changing any wiring on a fuel pump or 'making it fit' seems (to me) like a false economy when it comes to anything that deals with the fuel system of any motor vehicle - let alone, a Ferrari.

It's not like I'm taking a fuel pump off a Ford and trying to cobble something together. I can get the left side pump far easier than the right, and as far as I'm concerned it's exactly the same aside from the sender unit. So why not?? This whole Ferrari thing is a bit ridiculous at times. The need to buy Ferrari parts from a proper recognised dealer. The pumps are Bosch and are readily available far cheaper in the non Ferrari marketplace, so why buy anywhere else? I'd imagine almost no manufacturer would produce their own fuel pumps. I'll stand by my decision until I'm proved wrong, and if I am, I'll be the first one to post about it and advise others against making a mistake. For now, candidly, I'll back myself.

Yep that's my post. No difference except the float. 8000kms of perfect driving since. $220+/-AUD for the Bosch pump direct.

Can you still get the pumps at that price? I've managed to find a LH one but for the life of me I can't find another, either LH or RH in Melbourne. Any ideas where I could get one?
