    Hey Guys,

I had the front fascia on my 2002 360 Spider removed and painted. It is back on and looking good but now I have the "Trunk hood Open" light on. My guess is a sensor is not picking up that it is closed or got messed up in the fascia on/off process.

Anyway I took it back to the shop where it was done and they couldnt figure it out. They called Ferrari of Washington service department and was told that the part for the 2002 that controlled this sensor was discontiuned and they have a newer upgraded part that will work and it needed to be ordered from FNA and would be around $250 bucks.

Does all of this make sense to you guys? I am not complaining but I didnt want to miss an easy fix either. I have yet to see if the body shop is going to charge me to fix it as it worked perfectly when I took it in.

    Any opinions are appreciated.

    Best,
    Brad

It must be either simple plunger type switch or possibly a magnetic catch type switch....I would look around, it cannot be that hard to find and hopefully fix or correct.
