    Hello,
I have a 2001 360 spider and recently noticed small amounts of fluid in the passenger sidewall of the engine bay after operating the top. I traced it to the right rear guard cylinder (part #8 in attachment).
My question is how difficult of a job is this to replace as a DIY?
    Does anyone have any tips?
I searched for info, however found nothing specific to this problem.
I have had my car for about 3 mo and think this must have been missed on the PPI!!!
    Otherwise the car is amazing!!
    thanks,
    Steve

Like most things Ferrari, it's a hassle. It's do-able though if you are familiar with mechanics, I don't recommend trying it if you've never really taken a car apart just because of the frustration.

Small world Steve- I'm a Urologist in Ohio with a 2001 360 spider as well; I knew we all had good taste! I cant answer your question but can try to find an answer. My cars are being serviced at NJB in Columbus and are to be dropped off this week. I'll ask the owner (who knows everything Ferrari) and see what he says. Hope it helps!

It's quite common for the seals in this ram to fail and leak fluid everywhere. See it quite often.
