360 Spider top issue...top light flashing on display

I've searched the Technical and 360/430 archives but haven't found my answer...

I've had my '01 Spider for about 7 weeks now and was enjoying the seasonably warm weather yesterday with the top down when the display started flashing an orange picture of the convertible top. I'm always careful to fully raise and lower the top...i.e. until the "beep".

Anyway, I raised the top fully, then lowered it back down...all seemingly without issue, but the flashing light remained.

Has anyone experienced this before and if so, what did you learn about it?
