Hi guys I have a quick question for our fellow spider owners. In the below picture you can see the seam is coming un done in the one area of the convertible top I am pointing to. It doesn't seem to be getting worse but it drives me nuts. Is this common and has anyone had this repaired ? Any help is appreciated.

I had the exact same issue in the exact same location on my 360 Spider. Sometimes there is a problem with the cable that lies under the seam. Best to have the dealer or other professional look into it. Mine was repaired at the Ferrari dealership where I purchased the car. Its been fine ever since. Good luck.

Same issue on my 360 Spider.
The cost of repair was... 2€ (price of the 2mm drill required for the job) !

If you're less lucky, you will have to change the whole cable (upper finned pocket streched cable). This cable costs around 100€.

You should have a look there : http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430/422967-360-convertible-top-cable.html

The dealer took care of it at no cost since I purchased the one owner 360 spider through their dealership. They stood behind it thankfully.

It may be an easy fix if the eyelet is still attached to the cable and you can drill a new hole for the spring. If the cable has snapped like mine had, it is much more complicated. On my 360, I had the dealer take care of it ($250 for the cable and $250 in labor). On my 430 I did it myself (got the cable from Ricambi).

Look at the post that is referenced. Lots of good info there.

I have the same problem but on both sides and wrinkles on both sides just below. Drives me nuts to so much I'm looking into getting a new top for $3000 installed. Your problem can be fixed for cheap at the upholstery shop it needs a little glue is all.

Dr.B why replace the whole top if it just needs a little glue if you don't mind me asking ?
