There must be a separate workshop manual for the 360 spider, there are no information listed in the 360 shop manual pertaining to the spider. Does anyone have any idea where to obtain the spider shop manual? I searched already and didn't find anything useful.

    TIA

There were updates to the base manual to add descriptions for the Spider. Sometimes you'll find sellers of these on eBay. My experience has been that these are very disorganized collections of pages. I believe at one point I saw someone trying to sell what was claimed to be a full manual for the spider, but by then I'd already wasted money on a few other attempts and had decided to not try again.

Have a professional do any work needed on a Ferrari.

This is an opinion of course, but an educated one.

Been there and done all of it

    Rick,

Everyone have different comfort level in turning wrenches from their background and experiences. Ferraris does not have a flex capacitors, it is just another very expensive, and beautiful 4 stroke internal combustion automobile. However, I would agree with you and would not recommend anyone without any professional mechanical background to wrench on a Ferrari any mistake would just be too costly to correct. With that said in comparison Ferraris are surprisingly easy to work on compare to Porsche 911s. Mainly because easy access of many components from the mid engine layout, anyone who have had experiences working on Porsches would tell you that.

At least, I would never think about performing an open heart surgery as that's a subject that I am not comfortable with.

BTW, Rick do I know you? Have I offended you in anyway? All of your responses to my posts seems very tactless

I think you ought to cut Robin some slack. Just because you don't feel competent enough to work on your own car doesn't mean that he should feel the same way. He has put together probably the best Porsche DIY website anywhere, has helped many owners learn to work on their own cars, and is very well respected in the Porsche community. I'm hoping he'll do the same for our 360's.
