Found a pretty good deal on some test pipes, what gives a higher pitched sound with a Tubi exhaust already installed:

Stock headers, Test Pipes and Tubi, or
Fabspeed headers, stock cats, and Tubi?

I know I could also do hi flow cats with the aftermarket headers, but I think it would be too loud.

Also do you have to remove the rear bumper and Tubi exhaust to add test pipes?

A Tubi exhaust wont really give you a high pitched sound. Ive heard them with different exhaust combinations and they just dont do it. You will have more volume and a little different tone with headers, test pipes, or cats.

If you could only do one change, which of the following would you do:

Aftermarket headers, hi flow cats, or test pipes?

Also no one has responded about test pipe installation, does the rear bumper and exhaust have to be removed to install them?

I have the Capristo level 3 with test pipes, very loud and higher pj he'd sound than tubi as I had the tubi as well. Both are good exhaust systems. The Tubi is lower pitched where as the Capristo is more F1 sounding now drop the cats add the test pipes and wow, what a difference!

No I have not reflashed my ecu so I get the low threshold cat cel but I don't really worry on that as its just a nag as there's no cat to have low temp threshold :). The good thing is when you sell your car you an just bolt the cats back up in an hour or so.

Insane loud as in louder than some powerful sport bikes? Do test pipes cause the car to shoot flames?

A car with aftermarket headers, test pipes and aftermarket exhaust is going to be very loud.....but some guys like that! If you get the car hot enough you will shoot flames with this setup :)

There is a flange to the header and a slip fit to the muffler. You may need to loosen the muffler in order to get the test pipes in place. Check out the picture below of the Fabspeed test pipes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

The price is $850... but I'll know off $50 for FChat members. They should fit no problem with your muffler (assuming that the Timate is a factory fitment). Our test pipes are the same dimensions as the factory cats, so you should have no problem. Thanks.

Seems like a good thread to ask a few questions that I am a "noob" to. What is in definition the correct sound? Is it high pitch sound or a low tone? I ask cause is one false or is one true to the natural sound. I would think ( and just opinion on other cars) it shouldn't do anything but amplify the sound, not make it different. Or is it the natural cause of things when it is a different setup.

Also, does a Scud exhaust fit the 360, like the 430 exhausts fits with some modification. I am leaning more towards the GT aspect, and get rid of the side pipes and go straight back exhaust. I know a lot of the GT's have a cat by track regulations which keeps some of the noise at bay.. if you want to call it noise :p

Anyway, just some things that have been on my mind for a while.
