    Is that oil leaking down or adhesive?
    Need your opinion on this.
    If oil, is this something fixable or need to be replaced? Its a $500 piece....

    I'd put my money on oil personally... stick something up there and collect some..

    That part is a vacuum pot, no electronics or oil involved. easy to check if it holds vacuum. it's also a lot easier to access from the engine bay as it's right between the MAF sensors. If there is oil leaking from that high up, check the intake plenum. possibly overfilled at some point and the intake has oil in it. check emissions system, etc..

    Indeed.

    No point in playing "guess this fluid" when all you have to do is swab it and then examine the sample to easily determine with 100% accuracy precisely what it is. :)

    What did you find out 'tian' ?

    ah!!!! ITS ENGINE OIL!!! REDLINE oil!

    overfilled it last time and didn't notice until 50 miles later when i checked again

    everything's good!
