    Anyone out there done it?

I'm interested in your comparisons re performance, looks, road presence, that elusive "X-Factor" etc etc...

It's either that, or shove my name down for a 430 Spider.

    Thanks for any comments.

Yep. You won't be disappointed. The power & torque increase is huge. The handling is better. The quality is better. It looks better. It has far more road presence. In my opinion, the 360 has lost it's x-factor, and is almost too common. Unless you are someone who ultimately cares about Schumaker and F1 racing history, it's a no-brainer. Gallardo for sure. Furthermore, based on the production numbers that Ferrari is forecasting for the F430, the Gallardo will be much more rare.

    I have.
6sp G replaced 360F1 after 5 years of ownership. G is better built. Fit and finish are way better than F. G power is distinctly superior to 360. Not just the 360 but the CS. Have now accelerated twice against a friend's CS and G car is quite a bit faster up to 4th gear rev-limit (and probably all the way to top speed). Have taken the 360 to the track a few times and have driven the CS on the track. Both are amazing cars especailly the CS. I have not yet driven the G on the track. I expect it to feel a little heavier and the steering a little less communicative. I don't expect its huge brakes to fade, they should be fine even up against the ridiculously expensive and unecessary Ceramics on the CS. In general the G is a friendlier car in town; it is not "on edge" like the 360 always is. I don't care much about people staring at me and the car but the G is definitely rarer and attracts more looks, even here in Socal.
I have a 430 coming next year and the G was supposed to be an interim car; I am starting to have some hesitation.

Went to have a good nose around the Gallardo today at the dealership. Went out for a spin also.

Heavy traffic, but I was immenely impressed with the power over the 360. I could easily imagine driving the G Spider with a Tubi...

    Thanks Vik.

I tried to read through it, but my interest dropped as soon as it started to deteriorate.

I think after today, the decision has been made...
