Hey, im 40 years old, and considering buying a 360 modena. I was just wondering what the total costs were for people who own one for insurance, maintenance and road tax. etc... added together for the first 5 years of ownership.

Ideally people who bought new 360's but any examples would be a grate help to me.

    Many thanks

budget for 50-60K over 5 years for brand new 360, I reckon, but this is not from personal experience!

My 355 has cost me approx 30K over 2 years all in, but many people have got away with probably as little as 10K, depends how much you use the car amongst other things.

    355 spider over 15 months doing 9,000= 1 grandish.

Had my 355 Spider for 10 months, done 4,000 miles and it's cost me about £60 in oil. Next service due in March is a minimum of £500 for oil and filter, plus who knows what depending on what they find..........

Annual service cost the previous owner £3,000 when I bought the car though ;-)

    Dear Comrade Chaa,

You didn't say you were a vagina either - I'm not saying that you are - but if you made that statement to me I would consider calling you one.

My 1997 spider just cost me £900 plus VAT for an annual service, CV joint replacement, engine hood bracket replacement, MOT and a luverly valet.

That was at JMH near knutsford

    http://www.j-m-h.co.uk/ferrari.html

First bills I've had in 12 months, Insurance was £900.

No real depreciation to speak of, maybe 2k

Main cost is petrol!!, did 6k last year at what 14mpg?

    Hi

I bought a 360 which was 4 months old when i accuired it. I have had the car since new and my service bills were following
    Ist service - £1700
    2nd service - £11,500 ( eleven thousand five hundred )
    3 Bill last year dec - £9000 ( nine thousand )

A broken down F1 Transmission pump and oil change in spain - 4500 Euros.

Thats was the maintance part of the car .
In addition to that i spent
6000 on 19'wheels and tyres and been through a set already
    Hi Fi - 4000
New set of xeons - 2400 ( old ones misted up ) so do the new ones!!!
    Tubi exhaust system - 900
    Insurance -600
Paint shop - 1000 ( stone chips ) twice so far.

I do drive the car everyday and have clocked up 63,000 miles in 2 yrs. Mostly driving to my office in Madrid. All in all i think i have spent about £40,000 in keeping the car and i dont cut corners with expenses,if it needs doing i get it sorted straight away. I get belts changed every year cos with the mileage i do i cant ever chance them being snapped. And of course i drive my car hard.

Hey dude, is your car black, my mate sent me a pcture of your car once, well it had the plate anyway, it's goods to see someone uses their care like it should, but you have used it alot more than anyone I know I thought I was bad with nearly 20k in my 355 in a year and 18k in my 360 the next year, but I did have 3 other cars and drive alot to clients etc, but your the biggest user so far, would be good to see an thread on mileage useage, maybe someone could knock up a web page with a counter with mileages or summit.

I like how you havent' even mentioned depreciation either cos in these threads everyone but a few thinks their car loses like 2-4k a year (get real everyone!!)

If your gonna sell it get me a trade in figure from a Official dealer I'd love to see what they offer you, I'd start the bidding at 30k!!

If all true costs and figurew what an amazing insight to just how much cost and what the car will do, but your right you just can't scrimp on anything with these bad boys!!

And Tea Arse isn't a ghost writer (I'll spell it properly for you mate!!) he's in alot of threads and is well known.......especially for your quality paragrapghs everytime dude!!!!

I know daniel didn't mention depreciation, but I feel it is part of the 'total cost of ownership' really, so my figure includes this when I said 50-60K over five years. 40-50K of that figure is depreciation.

Let me guess, your second service included clutch, brakes and the usual 15K maintenance bit as well...Sounds reasonable.

Sorry but IMO £11500 is not reasonable, especially as the car would have been under warranty at that time?

Possibly a bit harsh... I would have said that 'Total' included depreciation... but TR, quality response as ever!

and BAD 13OY Raj ..."Mostly driving to my office in Madrid."...

all I can say to that is... "you utter UTTER b@st@rd!!!!!!!" :D

(which do you find is the fastest way down through France - I am still humming and haaing about ferry to Santander v tunnel? Did tunnel in the TVR 2003 and found the French leg to be just a means to an end. Cost versus miles I guess.)

    Burr.....

I did the Ferry and my mate did the road, and he was shattered by the time he got to Marbella, in his car but I was fresh as a daisy in my 355 and enjoyed the E5....just watch the ferry has 24hr and 36hr voyages, so don't get caught out and book the wrong one like myself!!

I assume this was an attempt at humour.

If you were being serious, as others have pointed out the original poster did ask about "total cost". And moreover where did he ask about 355 costs, you stupid man????? Get a life!!!!!

Basically it seems to be £250 + £350 fuel & Peage + 1600 miles but convenient Chunnel times, versus £700 on the ferry with not so convenient times. I presume the recliners are ok to get a nights kip on?

(ah! sorry for the o/t questions!)

I only paid about £450 for my car and me to cross to Santander or Bilbao, can't remember.

But the ramp took the paint off the bottom of my brand new bumper......wasn't chuffed!!
