Or, as they call it now, Infineon. Cool all day long, pretty slick track because of the temps and the rains of last week. Saw two cars totaled, a Z-06 and a WRX, so took it pretty easy all day. One session I had a Z-06 about 6 car lengths behind me running the same pace. He was on R-compounds so was quicker in the corners, but I would pull out several car lengths on the straights. I would have thought with his faster exit speeds he would have run me down on the straights, in which case I would have pointed him by. We talked later and he confirmed he was slower in a straight line.

Sounds like you had fun nontheless. Were thes guys who totalled their car running with TM or NASA? If you remember there were a few reckless drivers last time we were at Sears and a WRX lost in in the middle of the carosel right in front of me.

How did the brakes work for you, I noticed you have switched to Ferado. Do they squeek?

    Hi Matt -

This was a joint event with PCA and TM, no NASA involvement.

The DS2500s work fine on the street, good response when cold. When they are still cold they occasionally squeal at light pedal pressure when coming to a stop, but not all the time. They seem very good on the track, altho Sears is not particularly hard on brakes. I am getting some light pulsing in the pedal, so will probably have to replace rotors pretty soon. Good off-season project.

Which course were you running? If its the old course, there is pretty heavy braking going into 7 & 11.

Yeah, it's the original configuration. I guess what I should have said was, compared to Laguna, it is fairly easy on brakes.
