Hi everyone, After hearing about valve guides in the 355 and 360 being so unavailable.. what would valves gone (going) bad sound like? Extra noise on one bank vs. the other? Any RPM preference? I'm presuming more pinging at medium RPMs? Was wondering about this today.. Many thanks in advance!
What year is your car? How is the engine running? Can you post a sound bite of your engine music? Do you have smoke under throttle input or when downshifting to slow the car?
Bad guides don't make noise, bad "lifters" do. They are the ones that are not available from Ferrari. They do them on rebuild exchange program. 355 and 360 "lifters" are the same part numbers. Neither are available new.
