I have found a 2001 360 Modena that I really like and is priced well.......I have been speaking to the owner about all of the specifics on the car. He says that it is a U.S. model.......I have a carfax report on the VIN and it states that the car was imported in March of 2002. I was also told that the VIN #'s that have a B in them are European Imports.......is this true? The VIN does have a B in it......................if the car is an import then the price may not be as good as I think it is............................Thanks again guys for all of the help you guys have given me so far.....................John

The 8th character in the VIN needs to be an "A" for car sold new into North America.

The "B" indicates a left hand drive European car.

There are "US model" cars sold into parts of the Middle East and Central/South America. These should NOT be confused with "US model" cars Ferrari of North America sells through its US dealerships.

I second that. Be weary of buying a European model if living in the US, because the lack of dealer support would be quite troublesome.
