I'm moving up from a mondiale T and looking for/ deciding on a 360 modena or 360 spider or 360 stradale. need info on performance on the track[will track the car maybe 5 times per year] , comfort on the road[3-4 hour rides] does it have a/c, how stiff is the suspension compareed to the 360?
resale value? will the stradale hold their value better due to limited numbers or will most shy away because it is a track car? is there minimal difference on the track between a 360 modena and a stradale??

    Moved to the appropriate sub-forum.

I am sure owners will weigh in with some good input, but just as an FYI, there is a TON of information on this topic in the archives.

STRADALE!!! (yes, it does have a/c and an optional stereo, but that is not needed with the sound of that V8 behind you)

They are 3 very different cars.

Obviously, if you want a convertable (spider), there's your decision. If you want a coupe, it depends what you want in the car. The regular 360 is a wonderful car and can probably do what you ask of it very well. If, however, you want a more aggressive, race inspired car, go w/ a CS.

My CS is absolutely awesome. It's not the best car for relaxing/cruising while listening to the radio (you can hardly hear it & the CD player is worthless while driving), nor is it as comfortable on long drives as my Toyota Tundra. However, IMO, the CS is pretty comfortable (actually more so than I expected) and when it's time to "drive", it's like nothing else I have ever been behind the wheel of.

You really don't need to take a Stradale onto the Track to enjoy it.

Of course I chose the Stradale..and compared to the 6 speed 360 Spider I used to have, I love the Stradale ALOT more.

The only problem I see with buying a 360 Stradale and driving it 10,000 miles of a year like I would any other sports car is that people might think that the car was tracked a lot and then will not consider buying it for whatever is worth. Other than that I would buy the Stradale over any other 360 if I was out looking for a F430 and couldn't get one at msrp.

I think you need to go out and test drive both of them. As an every day car i would shy away from the stradale. You get into the car and it shouts race car at you. The 360 is much more comfortable and user friendly. If it is not your daily drive and you are not going to put mega miles on the car- the Stradale is a no brainer.

There are quite a few of us that would take a Stradale over a new 430.

honestly speaking i would never dream of selling my cs for a 430. As Dr Rattner said, i would sell my cs to buy a 430 and flip it to buy another cs. I wouldn't mind a 430 but would not sell my cs for one.

stradale is limited edition lower priced enzo based on 360. F430 is just the current V8, Dunno why anyone would take the F430 honestly.

Look, lets stop talking up the CS. We all know its a very special, limited production car that most folks confuse with the 360. Lets just leave it that way so there are more cars for the rest of us to go around! Publically, the answer should be "the CS is the most uncomfortable, loud, overpriced POS Ferrari ever made" :D:D:D

I agree, they are so impractical. I don't see what the big hoot is. They are just a trumped up 360 ;) ... and why would someone have TWO :D

I play music for hours everyday and don't need it in my ferrari, since I bought the 360 last december I have not turn the radio on, but only to check that everything worked, to listen to music not even once.

In regards to "pos stradle ,overpriced, loud, blah, blah. i respect your opinion but the fact remains that for the few who have the privledge of owning one it's a special experience. If you don't own one you cannot appreciate the rawness of the car. It certainly brings a smile to my face every single time I hit the start button. Better yet when I look down at the race, asr,lc button i think to myself "do it'. So unless you own one of these "pos" you don't know what your missing.

jplotus1: We are all agreeing with you. I posted the CS is an amazing vehicle that many of us would take over a stock 430, and the next 5 posters all agreed as well.

[email protected]: Going from a Mondial to a CS you are going to need a decompression chamber. I can't comment too much on the resale value of CS versus 360 simply because it is such an emotional decision that for me, it honestly wouldn't matter. The CS is so much more car than a 360 or a Spider that you honestly need to appreciate how much more there is in it, otherwise it's basically a waste. Good luck anyway... they're all sweet cars in their own ways.

If one of your requirement is long distance travel (3 hours is a long time for me...ha ha), I think you are better off with the regular 360. The CS, special as it is, can be tiring after the 2nd hour. The engine and road noise is pretty bad. The stiffer suspension punishes you slowly as your travel progress. The stereo is useless.

Regualr 360 can go to the track with no problem. It might not be so raw as the CS, but it is a very able car.

I own the CS and love the thing to death, but if the trip is more than 2 hours, then CS will stay home...ha ha.
