360 Wheel bolt measurement

There is no space at all? Maybe you need what is refered to as a thin wall socket.

 

Does your wheel require a bolt that has a smaller hex then the diameter of the head?

Alas, I have no 360 but if you provide the thread and length and also ball seat or taper seat and any other details then I may be able to source them, or......... For example this is for a specific 360, I would need the year and model of your car:

Going from memory here, but I think the 360 wheel bolts are 14x1.5 thread, with a thread/shank length of 57-58mm, and a tapered seat.

Further research indicates that Ferrari bolts are typically 52,60 or 70 mm long and 10mm 14mm or 20mm

First question - do you have the stock wheets?

Second Question - do you have the stock wheel bolts?

If the asnwers to both questions are yes, then you should not be having a problem.

If you think the answers are yes but are having a problem, you may have SERIOUS issues. You need to determine what the problem is ASAP.

However, if you have aftermarket wheels, you probably have other issues.

Typically, aftermarket wheels require DIFFERENT bolts, and those bolts should come with the wheels. And it is not only a matter of the head fitting into the recerss, it is a matter of the shoulder design (of the bolt) matching to the wheel. This can be very critical because of safety. Wheels can crack - bolts can fail.

Given that you have this sort of problem, I would assume that you have not had this car for very long. Maybe someone put aftermarket wheels on it without getting the proper bolts for them. If so, you need to solve your problem ASAP. Maybe someone had vboth sets of wheels and bolts, switched wheeld without switching bolts. Again, this can cause big prtoblems.

I strongly advise you resolve this matter before driving the car hard.

Read your original again and see I missed the fact that you just bought aftermarket wheelsd.

Did they come with new bolts? They should have.

Typically the Ferrari bolts WILL NOT WORK with aftermarket wheels.

I would strongly suggerst you go back to the wheel seller and demand the bolts for the wheels. You may have to pay for them, but this is better than any other alternative. You might threathen to sue - this is a big safety concern.

All true. I can only find bolts according to what I am told are the specs. It does sound like these are aftermarket so we have very little information to go on.
