Anyone have an issue where the car steps out slightly under light to moderate acceleration while cornering? I had the alignment done by Ferrari of Atlanta about six weeks ago and it was better for a while but I'm noticing it doing this again. Feels more like it's in the rear end rather than front. I don't really notice it in straight line acceleration or braking. I don't notice it under aggressive cornering either. I only drive in the dry. Tires are Continental Extreme Contact Sport. I've tried moving the steering wheel in and out but that seems to have no effect so I don't think it's a loose column but I will say the steering feels a little vague on center. I don't have any suspension noise. Could this be bushings or flanblocs? Car is an 03 with 29k. Thanks!

Thanks! I saw this late last night and I'll show the pic above to the dealer when I take it in tomorrow. The reason I didn't think this was it was due to others saying moving the wheel in and out had an effect. I moved the wheel in and out but there was no change. Did your car also not respond to changing the wheel position?

Moving the wheel has no affect on my steering. Tightening the nut did the trick though.

Hopefully they'll have time to do this tomorrow. Thanks again and if it works (or doesn't) I'll post tomorrow.

In my experience a loose steering nut will constantly affect the car: wondering at high speed and vagueness during turn in. Worn engine mounts (usually when they are broken in half) will affect the car during gear changes - it would be worth jacking up the rear of the car to investigate mounts and to check for play in the suspension.

I'm going to have them look at engine and transmission mounts as well. Hopefully will have an answer today one way or the other.

Turns out it’s the transmission mount causing a slight weight shift. I wouldn’t have thought it would be that noticeable. I had them check the steering as described above and it was still tight. I guess both the car and I are sensitive

    Appreciate the feedback
