Any ideas? I’m going to remove the bumper and see if I can spot what going on, I’m assuming the exhaust bracket, I couldn’t find anything loose from the top, everything checked out and I’m stumped.

I think it is the exhaust valve rattling... Typical 360 problem when they age...

No exhaust valve, has a Tubi exhaust.

48,275, I checked those and they seemed ok. I am leaning towards the shield for the f1 reservoir, right side. I’ll need to replace the 2.5 mm Allenhead screws holding it on to make sure.

Double check that the exhaust is not too far back from installation. Sometimes exhausts expand from heat and the noise could be the exhaust touching the deck lid.

Well, after removing many panels and shaking everything, I found a missing rivet on the shield for the drivers side axle. On the picture it’s the one closest to the bracket where it bolts to the transmission, bottom bracket. Not 100% sure this is it, but the noise was the strongest on that side, and it’s all I could find that wasn’t tight. Now to wait until spring to find out for sure.

Out near the bumper, where the twin exhaust pipes exit is a small spot welded-on metal rod that holds most dual tips in synch. Positioned on the bottom of the exits it can break away from the spot weld & rattle somewhat like what you have in your vertical video.

The other spot that the exhaust can rattle is the metal mount at the transaxle. Look to the whole mount as it can fatigue on either leg.

Now as for your vertical video:

I ran a scope through the O2 sensor holes in the cats, and they are in excellent shape, nothing loose or missing. I was thinking that at first as well, as I had that happen before when I ran over a piece of tire in the road and damaged the cat. It was shooting pieces out of the exhaust, and made a similar sound.

Just found my "shield" had damaged my cv boot slightly in two spots. grabbed it and bent/flexed it back away from the cv boot. One small pin hole I am seeing if sealant will correct. Anyone replace the whole axle or just the boots?
