    Guys,

Can anyone post pics of how the 360C cage feet bolt to the aluminum unibody? If the cage foot fortified aluminium plate welded to the car and just threaded for the steel cage?

    Thanks

If you look at both sides of the chassis behind the seats there is a small metal box on each side. I think the seat belt bolts into its base. You will need to drill and tap that box and use grade 8 bolts to mount it. Email me at [email protected] if you need some photos to explain.

Remember, steel in contact with aluminum sets up galvanic corrosion; boat shops have a paste/ anti-seize for this application.

Ferrari is very concerned about this subject regarding any repairs or modifications for aluminum chassis 360/430 etc.

    Best,
    Rob

Drill/tap. That means the connection is steel plate to aluminum box with steel threaded bolt in an aluminium tapped plate. How think is the aluminum used as the anchor point? Does Ferrari recommend some kind of antieletrolyis material to be used on threads like rexracer said?

Wow! Thanks for the pics. How amazingly thin that box looks. I guess it is strong enough. I would think the rollbar would just punch through the floor in a rollover or get ripped out in a side impact. Is that metal box aluminum and part of the frame rail?
