My 360 sputters for about 10-15 seconds when it is started cold and then it runs fine. Is this the same problem? Mine is not a CS.

I don't think so.... Because my CS will not run fine when it first starts up and it will even stall. I have to reset everything and after 2-3 try's, she finally comes to life..

For those of you who have had their ECU's reflashed, I have a few questions:

    1) Do you have the factory cats and/or exhaust?
    2) Did the dealer do any readings on the current ECU's before sending them to FNA?

I have a CS that has the cold start issue, and I have Tubi Straight Pipes (no cats) with a Tubi NGT exhaust. My dealer (Shelton) told me that the only way they can send the ECUs back to FNA to be reflashed is if my cats are on the car so they can read the parameters to send with the ECUs back to FNA.

This seems like BS, since two things are true....1) Even people with cats have the issue and, 2) this is a COLD start issue, so even with cats, there's nothing to measure since cats are useless until heated up. SO, I am curious what the procedure was for your reflash..........thanks!!!

    andrew,

it hasn't happened on mine , which is perhaps surprising as it' s an early car. Pot luck i guess :) THe dealer's likely to say wait till it's happened a few times as the re flash is about £800. You still have wrrnty?

Hasn't happened to mine either. I assume it won't occur on ours as we have the CS(SP) version.

    Factory stock exhaust.

Yes. FNA asked for a read-out the ECU firmware revision and the "Check Engine" error code to confirm my car's symptoms indicated the need for the firmware re-flash. If your car shows additional anomalies due to the missing cats, they will see a different set of symptoms.

just of curiosity, have any of you considered fuel to be one of the reasons for the cold start problem? some high performance bmws, audi, etc have had the same issues with ethanol blended gasolines.. (just as a thought) :)
