Just came across dfw scanner. Hope it's no one I know, and most importantly, hope everyone walked away. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This car appears to be a 360 Challenge Stradale. Terrible. It looks like hopefully it's not too damaged.
Awe crap, sucks to see that happen to anyone. Here's another photo from DFW Scanners FB page. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's the third FB pic. Someone had a bad day The comments on the DFW Scanner page are disturbing. A lot of people -really- hate Ferrari owners. Image Unavailable, Please Login
There is a CS that I have seen a few times coming out of Cedar Hill. Beautiful car. I hope the driver is ok. 360 has a few spots that collect water. You would think they would fix that.
I think I might know who it is. Keyword might; don't want to toss out a name and be wrong, and of course privacy issues. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
A lot of people have no class & let their envy get the best of them. Hope everyone is OK & the car is returned to like-new condition...T
Thanks for the correction, only saw that one pic, and comments kept saying 430. As for what people think of Ferrari owners, I've seen a number of people who hate money, like I hate computer/video games. As a result, I will never be good at computer/video games, just like they will never be good at money. A Ferrari to them is a symbol of money, just like a lvl 80 warlock on WoW is something I will talk bad about. I just take those people as they are. Change the subject, to gaming, and I turn into the same person....
The Internet is a great place for MANY people to post lots of things they would probably not say to anyone's face.
I noticed one person making a meme out of this photo, very crud & tasteless. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I feel bad for the ferrari driver. BUT, I think that photo is funny!! I feel like the guy is making fun of craigslist and not ferrari owners....
Exactly. The Ferrari layman makes many inaccurate assumptions. The do not think about all the owners who aren't wealthy and are simply car guys who love Ferrari's and have worked very very hard to acquire one, and keep it running.
That might so but from the looks of the photo, firefighters might be tending to a possibly injured passenger. Be safe out there all, especially during the holidays.
that's how ppl typically get into accidents i.e. lose their minds when driving in the wet. zero experience / familiarity which results in poor decisions and over-reactions.
It's fine to drive a Ferrari in the rain, heck I've driven many on track at blazes higher speeds with many different rubber compounds and many various weather conditions from drizzle to downpour. Often times an incident may happen due to somebody else's ignorance not your own driving. For example, bad weather impacting visibility, therefor soccer minivan cannot stop in time to properly gauge distance = rear ending you in your Ferrari in the rain when your driving that car in the rain is at that instant irrelevant. What exactly happened in the case of this unfortunate 360 CS? How much do you think the repairs will run? Oh and craigslist be like - "rear bumper re-sprayed, and fully detailed"!! YIKES!!
One of the comments went along the lines of the firefighters talking the owner out of killing himself because of wrecking it. Really? That's just low and pathetic. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
Fixable but estimated repair value is $152.8k so add that on top of purchase price (auction currently at $36k) and that's a crazy number for a whacked CS. Though it'd be sad to see another CS get parted out. CS is already a limited production car so the more that are left, the better.
It is pretty screwed up. It's going to need quite a few structural parts and lots of frame rack time. Those parts are only sold to Ferrari Authorized body shops. And estimates on damage like that never go down, they invariably go up. That's why if the numbers are even close to a judgment call they just total it. Then when you consider how bad Ferrari can be supplying crash parts for a car 2 generations out of production it could be in a body shop for a long time.
I've seen a couple Stradales wrecked and fixed (3 in person). I would say this is pretty close to NOT worth being fixed. It's doable and it might be worth it like all the ford gt's are worth fixing but you will be in it for $100K+++ easily.
Give it to gas monkey garage they'll fix it over budget, throw in some comfy seats in there, paint it purple, and put wire wheels on it and send her back out on her merry way!
