When driving to @15mph and in a turn, then let off throttle complete you feel a chattering from rear end as if the limited slip is engaged. Both left and right turns. Then you proceed in a straight line and the chatter continues but goes away after an 1/8th of a mile. Any help is appreciated.

Hmm; what year car, how many miles, what gear? Hot or cold. Let's go from there.

sorry about that, its a 1999 with 15,289 miles on it. It does it when cold and hot but much more noticable when hot.

doesn't matter what year, what car, what miles or anything..

thats a diff problem as you seem to be aware already.

Luckily on a 360, you can pop the diff out and have a look, and even fix it in just a few hours, maybe a day.

I've replaced many diffs on 360C's... and so far they've all been an excellent swap with no or minimal need for pinion re meshing, you'll just need to check bearing preload first, and maybe move the whole diff in or out a bit (need special shims) to be sure of gear backlash... but changing a diff requires no adjustment of pinion height (which in itself requires full gearbox strip).

You can even just replace centre parts of the diff.... but you can't buy these from Ferrari.

Rob at deltavee.com can get them I would think, or Frank Capo is the sourse here in Melbourne.

This IS a technical job however, and shouldn't be attempted by someone without the right experience.

Change the oil first and if required get some GM additive.

    Fixes 90+% of them.

I agree, try the simple, inexpensive first. It can't hurt to try.
