That's a Euro Car, has the B in the Vin. The Euro versions have always been a little lower than the US version. Looks nice though

    Thought so.

Looks like the car is in the States with all the EPA paperwork done, so should be low hassle unless parts are unavailable.

Parts is parts. The only issue is a dealer won't do warranty work, which is no longer an issue with this car.

Correct, warranty isn't honoted by FNA. This pretty much doesn't matter now. The dealer will do all recalls but they do not cover campaigns.

    The only big issues are:

    1) are the variators up to date? If not that is 2-3k out of pocket.

    2) is it CA legal? If it isn't in CA it probably isn't. This will somewhat limit your market for resale. You can bring it to CA and legalize it but it costs a few $k. You can search for my thread on it if you are interested.

This car has been for sale since Feb.. The car has lots of rock chips on the hood and bumper, missing tool kit and car cover.

To me it was worth the extra time and money to find a 360 with no stories, complete records, keys, manuals and well maintained. Just be careful, thats all.

There's probably SOMEONE on this board that is able to determine mathmatically how negatively correlated 360 prices are to mileage. Model year clearly impacts price (age plus working out bugs) as does equipment, but these cars definitely trade more on mileage. I bought an 02 360 in March at closer to $140k, but with only 700 miles on it. Got the belts & fluids done and now have a pristine example for < $150k. Seeing these particular cars for sale around $100k, though, still doesn't make me feel that I overpaid...

a 36,000 mile 360 doesn't really reflect the market in low mileage no stories cars. These cars are sensative to mileage and stories. Everyone knows that a bad one with a bunch of stuff wrong with it is an expensive nightmare. Oats are always cheaper after they come out of the horse.

I also read somewhere to avoid "EXPO MOTORS" as you see them on ebay with a lot of cars not selling. I was told they have all the cars most dealers would not put on their lot "meaning they have a lot of problem cars"

Looks like the five-figure 360s are 2000 and earlier hardtop cars. Depreciation is just part of the game with newer used Ferraris, and the Spiders will probably stay in the six-figure range longer.

Best thing is to enjoy your car and not worry about it.

    The long way home
Also remember that 1999 cars are almost 9 years old now and still selling at about 2/3 of the original MSRP! That's still VERY strong...

Don't DIS-BELIEVE it either.......you really have to watch all the indy SW Fwy exotic dealers carefully.....they all have at least shaky reputations.....

Funny how things can change in such a short time :)

Now taking offers ... the car is beautiful and never crashed ... all work noted above was just done this month (Aug)
