That seems like a big number, especially during the winter. Does anyone recall what typical numbers have been the past few years?

Still, I hope the prices start dropping as once the sellers figure out the reality of the 488 being accepted by the majority of Ferrari owners.......
so I can get a great deal on a 458!

There were around 300 when I bought 5 months ago. Nonetheless prices were still the same and I only got a small 5% discount. I think non ferrari dealers might give better prices. Part of the reason why prices remain as they are is because the 488s being sold (290-325) are significantly above early model year 458s (190-205) and when the used 488s hit the market, they will be listed 50-75k above msrp. Nonetheless I expect 10-12k less around late summer compared to what they were a year from now. Someone I worked with tried to get a 2011 with under 3,000 miles for 208k and was outbid by another buyer so these cars are still being purchased.

They are holding strong, because the owners know how awesome they are. It's not a 430, which is still an amazing car, it is leaps and bounds above...and worth it. I see them holding strong for quite a while, and if the community starts using the ploy of 'last of the naturally aspirated' we might have something here...ie Porsche 911 'last of the air cooled' cult.

I agree. "Last of the NA cars" may become a selling point.

I agree about last of the NA engines. I made a mistake selling my 430 Spider 6SPD Manual, I will never sell my 15 458....

Asking prices are holding strong, but selling prices are not. I know of several sub 10k mile 2011 cars that have sold for under $187k. These were all sport seat/shield/led wheel cars with MSRP's probably around $275k-$290k. Find the car you want and low ball a fast transaction. The market is finally cracking a bit.

I would say that is not the norm. This is the first I have heard of prices that low. Of course, if someone needs to offload a car for cash, they will sell. But, those of us who do not need to sell would probably never accept a low ball offer.

There are definitely 2011's out there with under 15k miles that can be bought in the $190k range. I've seen that from my own experiences of looking around at 458's. The ones I found for that price however did not have race seats, carbon, etc.

its amazing that anyone is having a problem finding one if those are all legitimate listings, why is that?

Sellers hate it, buyers love it. I'm a buyer so glad to see it.

I have 2013 Red Spider with 5K miles ($335K MSRP) and I bought mine 6 months ago at wholesale at an auction for $274K including dealer fees. I recently talked to Ferrari of Seattle to see how much they would buy it for and they asked for $235K. They're reasoning was there are too many 458s in the market and they're not selling in the winter. I told them to take a hike, I'll keep my car and enjoy it. If I don't get the right price (~$266K), then I'll just keep it.

A used Italia is so much car for $190-200k. When you stack it up against a (new) top of the line 911 at $200k MSRP, I'd take a used 458 every time. No question.

With 488s hitting the streets now, I think you'll be able to get a decent 458 in the $150-175k range by summer.

As soon as 458's can be bought for $150k I'll be all over one. I personally don't think we see them dip that low any time soon though. You can pick up some 2010's for close to $175k now though.

$150-175? I'm thinking 120-150k cz listing prices will drop 49k in 6 months.

235k for a red spider is a steal. Plenty of ppl would be all over it for that price. I was offered 178-180-185k trade in for my 2011 458 italia with over 9,000 miles.

does 178, 180, 185k mean those were offers from 3 different dealers?

if those are where wholesale prices are now what do you think retail prices will be down 50k in 6 months? or were you being sarcastic in one of the posts?

Ferrari of Seattle would turn around and sell my car for $265K retail price. At least that's what they told me. I bought this car because it was a dream of mine to own a Ferrari. When I bought it, I considered it to be my one and only Ferrari I will ever own. Since I decided that we won't be moving to a new house anytime soon, I will just keep my car and enjoy it. Forget depreciation and not worry about it.

With all due respect, you're crazy. Just because 488's are coming out doesn't mean that great condition 458's are going to sell for $150-$175. Come one. Maybe go to the auctions in Atlanta or Las Vegas. Go get yourself a car you have no idea where it came from.

Yes, those are wholesale prices from ferrari dealer in north east - luxury car/exotic dealer north east - ferrari west coast. I was just joking around. Not sure what will happen with 458 prices or even early model f430 prices for that matter which are 120-140k. I just know I have worse unrealized losses in the market since January 1st and I didn't get to drive those stocks. In addition the cars I were considering to trade for were aggressively priced compared to the market.

Well if that's the case my 430 spider f1 will be trading for 80k? Damn that's almost as low as a new bmw m3. I actually enjoy driving it more than the 458 honestly and for 80k it would be an awesome car for car lovers. Definitely would see more of it driving around. Hahaha
