The pulled over police story with his lady friend ( as he called her ) in the car was very interesting. Can't do that these days.

Does it still have clear turn signal lenses on it or they get switched to orange at some point? What's the mileage?

thanks Pete, He sold that car new and he actually drove it to the national fca event in 75/76 in Chicago.

the car is also on the cover of a prancing horse magazine when it was at that natioanal event.

    a true time capsule

there were only three imported to Canadain 1975,
    white/ red
blue/blk (was at the local dealer last year)
red/blk ( this one was destroyed and converted into a 512bb)

Restoration threads are always awesome but it is a shame that the owner of this car authorized it to be torn apart and redone. Given the amazing authenticity of the car it would be nice to see it quite a bit further gone before restoration. As we all know cars are only original once and there can't be many like this one out there.

the owner wants it to be one of the best 3655 bb's,

he has a large collection and wants it to be totally original, he received two nos 15x9
rear wheels with the car but he is going to use them as art.

Personally , I'm still on the fence myself.

Full tear down, or just a mechanical restoration ? Tough one.

Only ones wallet and imagination can make that decision.

once you start the new items make the old stuff look bad.

care and attenion to detail are paramount

proper paint, leather, colours, screws, clamps, tires and so one.

we have been doing it for years, this rare bb makes it all the more fun.

Sometimes the state of the car makes some of those decisions for you! This 365 appears to be very nice however -- if it were mine I'd probably try to retain as much of its hard won patina as possible; in fact, I envy those for whom this is an option.

all the rubber needs to be replaced in order to make the car safe. This is a fast car and needs to be able to stop and sterr as if it were 1975.

the belts were changed in 1978, they must have made the belts and tensioners better back then

Yeah, for sure, you said the tires might be original too? Scary.
