It’s just incredible what can be done with a tremendous amount of time, work and money. Fascinating to watch the process. Keep it coming. You should make a book out of this when it’s done.

Nobody can shine up your nuts like Paul can..;)

As usual Paul's work speaks for itself. He is indeed one of the best out there. Proud to call him my friend.

Original fuse blocks and different than the later cars, just cleaned up. Like any production car, corners get cut to keep costs down. These blocks are better than the later cars and clearly more expensive to produce.

512 had core plugs in the rear hub carriers, these have a specific cover plate with slot head screws. And no I didn't have too much to drink when I painted the yellow marks on the one spring. I copied what was there originally. Maybe it was their first day on the job?

Nice to see wheels on it. The engine will be in soon.

Once I finish up the engine harness I'll run the crossover for the tanks and put in the engine bay side panels. Note heat exchanger near left fuel tank on early cars.

Spring identification marks were randomly placed and ended up inside on the left suspension. Whoever put the springs on the shocks back then didn't worry about lining the marks up in any specific orientation so neither did I, its a production car after all.

Its being made as we speak. Covid really threw a wrench into things. Closures and delay after delay but its finally at the sample stage.

paul, you put the flansh on the diff right side for the shaft when the engine is inside? would be easier to do it as long as the engine is outside. you have a reason to do so?
right side it looks like it is on?

Stop right there. Don’t put anything else on that engine.
If you zoom in and take most of the engine bay out of the pic , it almost looks like a spacecraft I will try to photoshop same: create harsh contrast and dim out the background big time. The carbs are going to look amazing....

First this happened on May 15th and I couldn't work.

Then two weeks later after the swelling went down they changed the cast. I still couldn't walk but I could do this as long as my ride had no destination other than back home....

So I lost a solid month then modified hours for another 4 weeks. 6 weeks in a cast and 2 more hobbling around after that. I walk with a limp for now and my foot doesn't approve of full days but Im so much better than I was even just two weeks ago.

This is the only time you'll see these blower motors. I restored the originals and added my decals

Early tail light panel on left with rust holes, replacement to its right. No idea why they added the third hole as the inboard light is a reflector without a concave reflector housing needing no clearance. Can't get the correct ones so I made what I needed.
