Hi all. Has anyone else seen this due for auction later this month in the UK??
I really like the colour. Very 70s sophisticate, as befits its titled original owner!

It certainly looks in decent condition, certainly much better than when it was hauled out of storage. Seems like it had a blue 400 for company at that stage judging by the pictures.

    Best to everyone.

The owner of the Cirencester Park Estate is Lord Bathurst. So I suspect he (well, the current Earl’s now deceased father) might have been the first owner, rather than Lord Banbury.
It’s a stunning house, with the tallest hedge in the UK.
Worth looking up on Google for anyone unfamiliar with this house.

Can’t help with any info on the car, though the guide price seems low.

Quite a lot of other Ferraris too, I believe.

Banbury is correct. Cirencester isn't. In fact, although it says Cirencester at the top of the blurb, further down, it says Southam.

It looks unnatural to me without wing mirrors. I know many cars in the '60s and '70s had only one or none at all but I can't imagine driving without them.

My 400i has just the one wing mirror. Driving it is fine. But I do agree that it looks a bit odd.

And thanks for clearing up the Banbury/Bathurst issue. Cirencester was clearly the red herring there. And as a Cirencester chap myself..

My 81 400i was delivered with a single mirror, was not mandatory in France, and probablu in the rest of Europe. Remember the early Testarossa, as well as the 959 that had a +3kmh option that included a miror delete...

dual vitaloni mirrors was an option and quite difficult to source now.

My 365 was delivered without any rearview mirrors. Only the second owner had the fitted in 1980, I still have the bill ;-)

I suppose it is what you're used to. I've never driven a car without wing mirrors. Also, with my 550 they're essential because the central rear view mirror often isn't great because of the reflections from the (beautiful but not necessarily practical) quilted leather rear shelf. I suspect I would also find it most odd to drive a car without seatbelts. It has been second nature my entire driving life to put the seatbelt on before I do anything else.

For completeness, the car sold for £68625. I don’t know whether that includes the 12.5% auction fee or not.
