Hi I have added a short film to this web page https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari/365-gt4-bb.html If you have any thoughts about what was original tyres on this car. And please can you let me know your thoughts on tyre pressures. i am also under the impression that another option for this car was the same tyre set up as the Muira SV with 215/70R15 CN12 on the front and 255/60VR15 Cinturato CN12 on the rear. or am i mixing this up with another car. Please let me know your thoughts i want this web page to be as accurate as possible.
This was never an option for neither the 365 GT4 BB or the 512BB and the 512BBi had Michelin TRX tyres in 240/55 VR 415 size all round.
oo, https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari/512bb.html#page=2 I think the last few 512BBi had the early TestaRossa set up of 240/45R415 front and 280/40R415 TRX rear. Do you know if that is right? If there is any pictorial eveidence (build sheets etc) i would love to put it on the site.
I do not know if this option existed, but it would lower the car by at least 2cm without resetting the suspension. I find the 512BBi low enough already with its 240/55 VR415 on speed bumps.
No, injected boxers didn't have fatter rear tires ever and boxers didn't come with wire wheels. The rims always differed front to back but the tires were the same as the 400i from 82 to 84. I had an 82 and an 84. The 84 was one of the last 50 built with 1985 engraved on the chassis tag still wearing its original 240 TRX tires. The bodywork just wont accept a wider tire without a different rim offset etc etc.
