Owner Manual Wiring Diagrams suck for readability. You may be aware of improvement by coloring the wires and adding English callouts to replace balloon numbers for the components. I did this first for the for the 308 series of cars. I took on and have completed the 1973 365 GT4 2+2 wiring diagram and details may be found at http://www.ferrari308gtbi.com/Boxer. I have no plans at this time of other cars in the 365 series primarily because each drawing takes about 200 hours to complete. So, I'm hopeful the choice of 1973 GT4 2+2 as typical...and it will have very close similarity to function of the electrical features in other similiar cars in the family. I also have come to learn that Ferrari has set ways of doing all things electrical and even when cars span 30-40 years are remarkably similar electrically. At the risk of getting commercial, for more information, check out my web site, pm me, or use my email address - pbennett AT macnet DOT com. If you don't know what 'colorizing' means, I'd be happy to explain but the web site has examples. Thanks for paying attention while the pretty girl turned the que cards for me.
Paul Those diagrams look really great, a real labor of love. As you say, the one in the manual is virtually illegible. How different is the BB from the BBi, to give an idea of the difference between the 365 GT/4 and a 400i? Aidan
Frankly I was astounded at how much unnecessary stuff was added to the BBI. The BB wiring is as bare necessity as the early 308's but the BBI has dual ash trays, bonnet lights, engine compartment light, 5 more relays and timers. They clearly meant the BBI for the luxury market. Of course it's alway appreciated when it works. You can get an idea by viewing the low res images BB - http://www.ferrari308gtbi.com/Boxer/#512BB BBI - http://www.ferrari308gtbi.com/Boxer/#512BBI
