    Hi Everyone,

the windshield wipers on my Daytona are not properly setup. When turned on the blades go beyond either side of the window barely touching the driver and passenger doors.

interestingly the „standby“ position when the wipers are not running is where it should be.

Any ideas how I can adjust the wiper motor so the wipers stop sooner and don’t go beyond the edge of the windshield?

    Best wishes
    Ferdinand

The wiper arms can be detached from the splined shafts that drive them. Just remove the arms and clock them a tooth or two in either direction to get them to park at the base of the windshield. That should get you the best coverage possible, which is not full coverage - mine reverse about the 12:00 o'clock position.

The angle of rotation is based on a gear and connecting rod internal to the wiper motor. If you still have the original wiper motor, then there is no reason to remove and modify the motor. The solution is the one given above - reposition the wiper arm on the splined shaft. You should ensure that the wiper remains on the glass at both ends of the rotation. In some cases the parked position will not be next to the windshield moulding. This is trial and error to get it right.

When the wiper switch on a Daytona is turned off, the wiper motor runs backwards, causing the wipers to have extra rotation in the down-ward position. This parks the wipers off of the windshield, below the rear of the hood. When the wipers are running, and the motor is running in the normal direction, all of the wiper travel should be on the windshield.
