Agree. The example looks like a wonderful restoration but the color just doesn't do it for me.

I love the color. The first picture, inside under harsh light, does it no favors but in natural light it looks great. For that matter, I love the car as well!

$201k, didn't make reserve. C/4s really struggle to get above $200k, no matter how nice, and I think the market has softened a bit this year.

Yes, highly documented 4,200 mile car with a lot of fairly recent work. In other words, not a typical C/4.

I first replied to your comment since you said that the market has softened. I think that a good C4 will not sell below the 300K region. Buying a 200K one will always make you spend around 100K ( if not more ) + your time + the hassle if you want it to be a perfect example. They are 50 yr old cars now with all the expectancies of such a car. But then it all depends if you want a proper C4 to enjoy and be proud of , or just own a C4 . I have just bought a beautiful example with all original interior in unbelievably good condition , full service and ownership history since day one for the amount of 300 , and because I want it to be the best there is ( if possible ), I still have a bill of 50 k after going through all the car from head to toe. Now this 50k does not include my time ( 7 months ) of being without the car and coordinating with the specialists . No wonder in Europe they ask for anywhere between 295k and 380 for a good example. And although it is an either a loved or a hated car, it is still very rare. Besides I would say that the point of buying one today is to have it in concours level and enjoy owning it and driving it sparingly. This unless you are a carefree millionaire :)

Pretty nice car for that price.... if you can get past the color.

Car marketed as having been stored for about 30 yrs and belongs to original owner family with 53K kms. As an original car it seems to be in a good price range, but the expense to get it in top shape could be anywhere between 35k and 125k

Marrone Colorado was NOT a special color in the early 1970's. Regular and rather popular color during the legendary flower power and hippie years.
No fewer than 74 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 Coupés were originally painted in this color.
Plus 75 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Berlinettas in the same Marrone Colorado paint.
Plus 6 Ferrari 365 GT4 BB in Marrone Colorado.
Not to mention the Dino 246 GT/GTS.

First of all, I like it!

I think what the ad was saying was that it was the only Marrone Colorado C/4 sold by Swaters in Belgium... which doesn't really mean much. How many C/4s did Swaters sell in total?
