So one for the experts. Was the correct toolbar for the 365 GTC the one from the 330 GTC or the 2 bag version from the 365 GT 2+2 I have heard both quoted as correct...
Not an expert. There's a picture of the tool kit on the RM Auctions description of 365 GTC #11969 that's said to have its original tool kit and jack. See here: 1968 Ferrari 365 GTC | Arizona 2013 | RM AUCTIONS
sceptical.. of the auction house not you!... too few spanners and screwdrivers and spanners.. and the most perfect hammer ever!
Generally, a variant of a 330 gtc and 365 toolkit 2 spanners commonly found. 10-11. 12-14 There is an old tread on Fchat that many variant of toolkits is discussed. I started the thread
This is an excellent toolkit, missing one screwdriver, oil filter wrench, and several pieces of rear hub puller This exactly what I would anticipate seeing in a 365 GTC/GTS
See post 4 in Tom's thread here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-redline-restorations/96515-guide-tool-kits-factory-supplied-data-parts-manual.html
Yes on the 2 brown bag system Generally, 365 gt 2+2 kit in the factory parts manual, style 32 puller substituon, plus or minus wheel chock, bulb holder or safety triangle.
Hi Tom, A couple more Q's for the expert! 1. Did the filter wrench have the plastic handle like the queen mary / early Daytona or the plain handle like the 330 GTC 2. Were the jacks always blue or sometimes yellow 3. Why did they have a grease gun extension but not grease gun (probably ferarri being ferarri!) trying to build a kit over time and not even sure what i need !
1, plastic handle 2, either. Yellow jacks more common. Yellow is the later design, has a bearing in the screw mechanism 3, no grease gun, just fitting. Reason unknown
Do the experts think this is the right thing and right for a 365 gtc?? Image Unavailable, Please Login
