    We want to give our EU Marellli distributor a good clean and service. Does it have a single location drive unit or a a geared drive that will require careful marking? Is there a service process sheet avilable? It is sited in a very inaccessable position!!

    A fool-proof approach is to remove the distributor cap and see where the rotor is pointed in relationship to the spark plug wire post on the distributor cap. For example...Is the rotor pointed at the sparkplug wire that fires the number 2 cyclinder. write this down on a piece of paper or just remove that one spark plug wire from the cap. also marking the base of the distributor to where it mates the block will keep your timing relatively close upon reinstallion.....Mark.
