I have a project 68 365 that has vast electrical dificulties. I was able to repair the broken wires on the rotor in the alternator, but really need a good wiring diagram to trouble shoot the other maladies. Any advice on an inexpensive copy? Thanks, Mike.

Which variety of 365? If its a daytona or C4 I might be able to help but they are absolutely not all the same.

Ferrari Owners site does indeed have the car manual which does not contain a wiring diagram. Perhaps a Shop manual? 1968 365 GT2&2.

not your question, but here is the scoop re: manuals for the 365GT2+2 compiled by my father:
My understanding is that there was not a specific workshop manual for this model but that a variety of "Technical Circulars" were issued for the car when items differed from the 330 workshop manual. I found this hard to believe but have never come across a 365GT2+2 workshop manual.

    1. The factory Operating, Maintenance and Service Handbook for the
365GT2+2. Came with the car. One of the most important parts of this
booklet is the fold out sheet comprising the wiring diagram. Have a couple of enlarged copies made of this page and mark it up w/ color - I guarantee that you will need it.

    2. The factory spare parts catalogue for the 365GT2+2. Came with the car.
Useful as it often depicts assembly sequence for obscure parts.

    3. The Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 Body Parts 1969 - 1971 by Carrozzieria
Pininfarina. Reprinted by Maranello Concessionaires Ltd. contains numerous
diagrams and numbers of body parts and pieces.

    4. The Ferrari 365GT2+2 Chassis Service Manual Abstract for those 365GT2+2 equipped with Exhaust Emission Control system. It covers significant engine modifications and tuning requirements for emission controlled cars.

    5. Ferrari Market Letter Tech Tips compiled by Dyke and Sue Ridgley
copyright 1992 Roush Publications. Crammed full of maintenance and
servicing tip and procedures. It covers many varieties of the early cars
and includes much of application to the 365GT2+2.

    6. Ferrari Tuning Tips and Maintenance Manual by Gerald Roush and John R.
Apen of FAF Motorcars, Inc. Many sections specifically apply to the
365GT2+2, probably the most practical coverage of any of the above items.

    7. 330 GTC and 330 GTS Assembly Data and Repair Instructions - a
copyrighted translation of the official SEFAC workshop assembly manual by
Angelo Wallace September 23, 1978. Many sections apply directly to the
    same components on the 365GT2+2.

    8. The book Original Ferrari V12 1965-1973 by Keith Bluemel. Upon
occasion it had been a useful reference when needing to see a photo or
description of a particular area on the 365GT2+2.

    9. And of course Alan Bishop's book - useful for every vintage Ferrari

    Mike,
One area that can cause a lot of headaches is where the wiring loom runs along side the engine. The insulation gets baked by the heat coming off of the headers, a wonderful place for seemingly unexplainable electrical symptoms.
