Well John what do you suppose; a repaint? No way it was a blue car with black seats and red carpeting from the factory. If it was I must really be off when it comes to color combos :D

Regardless you see how nice those carbs look?

I suppose it is most likely a repaint although maybe someone needed new carpets and that is what was wanted or avialable?

Regardless, it turns out tha the VDM site is a bit out of date, the Retrolegends site in the Netherlands is showing the car as "SOLD". No more information on that site than on the VDM site.

As for the carbs, pretty to look at and nice to listen to but I wouldn't want to be the one setting up or paying for synchronizing those suckers! That is the main reason why I was set on a 400i, the FI is easy to tune and trouble free.

Did it myself. Not really that hard. You just need a good Weber manual, an exhaust gas tester and some vacuum meters. The intake music is addicting. Plus 10% more power :D

Indeed, it was silver/black in the 1980s.

Lars, any infos on 400-owners in or around Munich? Trying to find people that might be more knowledgable than me concerning questions about my car - it's a 1977 GTA (yes, with full history :)
