    Hi all and greetings from Belgium ;-)

    I am in the process of hunting for a nice 365GTC4 and found this example for sale on Pistonheads:
    https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/14723514

    As I was interested in the car, I asked for some information and noted the following:
    VIN: 15617
    Major restauration work done in 2015 by Auto Restorations Ltd Christchurch NZ (although customer/owner seems to be living in Oxford Falls NSW according to the invoices).

    Any info / advice about this car is welcome as I am not in a position to travel there for an inspection.

    G'day,the car was a US car.
    It was involved in an accident that pretty much took out the front...hence the very large rebuild.
    If you went back far enough on aussie Ferrari market watch thread you would find discussion on it.

    Thanks all!

    I noticed the photos of the crashed car on the registry of the 365GTC4 forum:
    Ferrari 365 GTC/4 Registry Viewer (365gtc4.com)

    but as the car in the pictures looked black, wasn't sure if it was the same car that was involved in the crash... .

    Sellers should be more open about it and detail how it was restored... .

    Talking of C4's, I was sad to learn of Stuart Saunders passing in June.

    He had a great museum at Binalong with an eclectic collection of cars.

    His silver over blue C4 was original and unmolested, like his Bugatti.

    He also owned and flew a Tiger Moth. A life well lived.

    Nice man,helped us out once when he had an issue on drive with a Maserati shocker tower .
