Do any of you know if any of the auction houses will be offering 365s, 400s or 412s for sale during Monterrey week? Just checking in case one you you know something I don't. Still looking. Thanks.

There was a nice black on black series 1 5-speed for sale at FoH a year ago. I saw the car. Have you checked on it?

I never saw it on their site, give them a call to see if they still have it. It was #30825 owned by Mr. Pedott. I met him when I was showing mine at the concourse in Kemah. If I remember correctly he wanted a bit for it but it is a series 1 5-speed and has a complete new interior.
Here are a couple of pictures:

I was "talked out of" the 365 GTC/4 by a known Ferrari Mechanc here in Houston due to the fact the engine block is too far into the cabin,,,meanning hideen beneath the front glass...making it very difficult to reach certain components in there.
He said the 400 series are easier (meanning cheapper$$$) to work on because there is more room on the back end of the engine....
I really prefer the 365GTC/4 body..but there are less of them making them cost twice..or sometimes 2 1/2 times the price of a nice 400 series....
So, I am left with th 365/400/412 series...
I am still debating in my mind if I go FI or carbs.....people are split 50/50....the noise and the looks of the carbs vs the reliability of the FI....I'm not sure yet.
I prefer 6 tail ligths instead of 4...I know its silly but...

What's really important to me is that the car is "sorted" like the Brits say.....no corrosion issues, suspension parts are Polyurethane and near new...engine recently serviced...electrical stuff working...A/C working....and new/redone interior if possible.....I want to drive the car ...and not take it apart to work on it for a year....preferably nice wheels and tires (no TRX please....if they ever came with these things). Budged ? mid 30s would be nice.....if it has a red interior I would throw in a grand more....lol. Blue ext on black interior...or Black ext on red interior.....
    Thanks Brettski.

A car in the condition you've described with the service performed you stated for the mid 30's? Good luck.

what are you waiting for ?
if you find an example that 'ticks more boxes', including price and colour, than this one...well...i just dunno...

as for carbs v.s. fuel injection... ya, sure... when your in the drivers seats, you do notice it if you're use to 6 DCOE's...
but out of the tail pipes you certanly do not...and it's still a symphony up front.
and as for the reliability concern you mention, it's about more than just carbs v.s. FI...
because the injected cars also lost the points and went electronic...that's a much bigger part of ongoing reliability.

    as for your wishlist...
    - absolutely zero rust on any body panel or anywhere else...it's rock solid.
    - new control arm and shock bushings, tie-rod ends, alignment, new rear levellers, etc.
    - as new engine, heads, gearbox...and i mean as new...flywheel, chain, syncros, injectors.
    - all electrical sorted, no draws, nothing...the A/C was painstaking drained/recharged... even the clock works correctly.
    - interior's in totally fine condition, but i'll be treating it to Leatherique before she goes.
    - freshly refinished 15'' wheels with new P4000's.

then there's tons of other new/rebuilt stuff like Ansa silencers, jet coated headers, fuel pumps, fuel distributors, wire set, battery, etc.

$37 500 USD (delivered to Buffalo, exported from Canada)
it still has it's Montana Title and was never registered in Canada ( it's here under an E29B)
you couldn't possibly even do the work alone for that much...ask anyone...
nevermind finding a good, rust free car in one of your preferred colours to start with...

    so ?

maybe it's his lucky day ?
