    All,

I've been offered a 355 spider (which I've always wanted) at what looks like a good price at £37k. Its 35k miles on the clock and has had all the major engine work done. Its blue too.

I want something for summer to sell on later in the year, so not looking to lose to much cash on this.

    Good price or no?

If I had to sell my LHD Spider for £37k, having paid £47k for it a year ago, I'd fcuking cry. So, in my opinion, if it's sweet, it's a good deal. A little leggy, but if it's around a 1996 / 1997 reg then I think a bargain. Even if it's a 1994 / 1995 I think it's a good deal. If it's reliable, I can't see you losing much cash on that. However, if it has no service history, it might be difficult to sell on again, and blue isn't the easiest of colours to shift if you are in a hurry.

Anyway, good luck and hope it works out!

Seems cheap as chips to me. Again, the blue colour is not the most popular choice (although I like it!) But, thats a lot of car for not a lot of splash

is it a genuine good car?, I know of one Blue 355 Spider that's a write-off/rebuild, it was even repainted the wrong colour!!

if it is a good car it's a good price!

Make sure you get the car checked (re the values on your other post) by a reputable Ferrari specialist. Seems a fair price for a 97, there have been a few around recently (Ed had one). Don't forget that the prices you normally see are 'asking' prices with room for movement - if they're desperate to sell then ....

Most similar cars over the last few months have been £40-£42K.
The only ones that i've seen at that sort of price have had 50/60,000 miles.

I dont know why but there seem too be quite a few cars around just above £40K & are not selling.

£37K is definately worth a go if it's a pretty nice one, though selling after the summer is not gonna be easy IMO. Still even if you only got £35K back youll have done well.

    P.S
If you dont want it, i'd love the details :D

I think Forza288 had a red one (LHD) with black interior for £40K - that's probably a better bet when it comes to resale

Worth at least a call to check the miles. But then again what's a high miler for a 96 model? If I was looking for a 355 Spider, as long as the miles were no more than 45K, it would be worth a shout (5k per year)

It sounds like an utter bargain! What is the catch ? Is it Cat D/C write off? Or does it have 15 owners and no service history? :)

I remember talking to Forza and I think the mileage is around 60k.

Does seem that quite a few around 40 are sticking - I had one guy go to 36 for a 96, 21k miles spider. Pretty crappy condition though.

Blue one has challenge grill and tubi.

I'll have it for Le Mans - anyone want it for same price I paid afterwards?
