I don't know that one, but I do know of a "358" in southern California that is a 308 with a 355 engine in it...

love it love it love it. i want one! i could care less about the turbo-whammy- thing-amabob engine in a real GTO . turbo engines are not fun for the street, unless you are rich and pay other people to fix the cars all the time for you. no more turbo cars for me! :)

It must be interesting to drive that car. If you look at the interior picture, it appears that the F1 paddles are 'attached' to the steering column. God forbid you have to switch gears while turning.

I would supect those paddles are fixed like the ones on the 355 and 360. Looking at the switchgear on the column, it doesn't seem to be like our cars. They may have used the 355 column.

Nifty car, but they lost all the trunk space ;)

This thread is about another 308 with 355 engine:
    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22222

To the original poster, how did you find the additional pictures, I followed the link and my japanese is not that good, but there were no hyperlinks on that page?

I would love a screaming 355 engine in my (GTOish looking) 308 someday! But there are other things to do as a healthy young(ish) single man than spending another 2-3 years on a car!

I'm not so sure. If you look the wheel is turned 90 degrees but the paddles are not. That sure would seem to be a hassle!!

355/360 F1 paddles do NOT turn with the steering. They are fixed to the column.

The UP paddle has a longer arm depending on year/option, but the DOWN paddle is quite small.

Proper driving technique shows no problem with fixed paddles. All braking and downshifting should be done before the corner, only upshifts are required after apex, hence the longer UP arm.

If you've ever got more than 90 degrees of steering wheel lock applied when searching for a gear, you really should get some lessons......., and a good panelshop!

Not quite the oldest gravedig ever, but close!!!

@FJS308 - check with NicksForzaFerrari. Nick is here on the site somewhere, but he has built a 3.5 liter and even a 3.93 liter engine for a 308. He has a few YouTube videos of it. That thing sounds MEAN!!! I dont know if he has final HP ratings, but give him a call and ask. I called and talked to him a few months ago and he was very cool to talk to. He has lots of great stuff to do with a 308 as well to make it even more reliable and more powerful than Ferrari did.
