392 Wrangler Extreme Recon - The Best Daily Driver

I would agree with this also. I mainly drive on the street for my commute so it’s just all fun romping around. Daily long highway trips would get a little annoying. I’ve taken a couple 10-12 hour trips in it and was very relaxed by the end of it. However this is a very rare occasion. Of course if you have another option in your garage yes I would pick the more comfortable one for that. Out of my current stable the Jeep is actually the most comfortable go figure, haha.

Being in Florida I think the 392 would be a great as there are zero turns anywhere. Best way to treat the 392 is like an old muscle car. Granted not much off-roading but I don’t see to many 392’s on the trails. Haven’t even taken mine yet.

With a SOT, a 392 Wrangler is probably the most versatile vehicle of all time.

That said, the wait time is rediculous.

 

Had a 21 hydro blue 392 with SOT when they first came out. Sold it for more than what I paid for it. Demand and pricing is still crazy for these. Miss it. Convertible and SUV with speed and ruggedness all in one. And it’s actually pretty comfortable. Best all around car I have ever owned (out of over 150 cars).

 

Decided to add a 23 392 to the stable. Came with way too many boxes for the half doors.

You’ll love it. Sometimes it makes me wonder why I spend so much on other cars. Good choice getting XR pack.

 

i actually can't wait for the weather to warm up a bit to yank the top off again. except for the fact that once the top is off my wife ends up stealing it almost every day!

 

I can, add a hellcat motor, haha.

It does dwarf the Ferraris, kind of funny. Don’t typically share the same garage.

what did they change for 2024? Haven't kept up on the news

 

Hopefully the dana 60 but that's TBD

 

Ditching the aluminum spindles and CV axles would do wonders, at least they didn't saddle it with CAD/FAD like the rest of the JL/JTs

 

Either going to upgrade the 23 to a 24 or go 991.2 Turbo/CT5V BW

Since I never received my order, thought about going to a ‘24 but if the price hike is say the same as the 20th Ann, I would be kicking in another $13k so not happening for me.

 

What color did you go with? I see that they swapped Sting Gray with Anvil.

 

For now black as I don't like the any of the other colors. What does anvil look like? Gray?

 

If it’s the same color code from 2012-2014, it’s similar to Sting except more of a bluish undertone. It was very popular before, and somewhat has a cult following among Jeepers.

After 203 days, my 392 finally made it to my out of state dealer. Now I need to schedule a pickup and get that Go Fund Me page started.
